About NextWave Leaders Foundation
One Student. One Idea. One AI Team.
NextWave Leaders Foundation is building the NextWave AI Workforce Academy so students learn not only how to use AI, but how to lead, create, and build with it.
Exposure creates opportunity.
NextWave Leaders Foundation empowers young people through technology, entrepreneurship, creativity, mentorship, and leadership development. We provide access to innovative tools, real-world education, and positive role models that help youth discover their potential, build confidence, and create opportunities for their future.
What we teach
These four areas from the current site stay in place. They run through the Youth, Junior, Teen, and future Adult pathways.

Meet our founder
John Myles Boyd
Founder & Executive Director
John Myles Boyd is a serial entrepreneur, author, clothing designer, creative strategist, AI educator, and community leader dedicated to helping young people unlock their potential and prepare for the future.
As a proud Boys & Girls Club alumnus, John credits much of his leadership development to the mentors, coaches, teammates, and life experiences he gained through the Club. Growing up, sports, teamwork, and positive mentorship helped shape his character, build discipline, strengthen his leadership skills, and teach him the importance of serving others.
Those experiences inspired the vision behind NextWave Leaders Foundation.
Today, John combines entrepreneurship, branding, artificial intelligence, creative design, and emerging technology to prepare the next generation for opportunities in a rapidly changing world.
Rather than simply teaching technology, NextWave Leaders Foundation teaches students how to think creatively, communicate effectively, solve problems, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and use AI responsibly to create opportunities for themselves and their communities.
John has founded multiple businesses across branding, design, events, apparel, creative services, and technology. As an author and lifelong learner, he believes education should extend beyond the classroom by giving young people access to practical skills, mentorship, and real-world experiences that prepare them for life.
His long-term vision is to build a generation of leaders who don't simply consume technology—but learn how to create with it, innovate through it, and use it to positively impact their communities.
The Boys & Girls Club invested in me when I was young. NextWave Leaders Foundation is my opportunity to invest in the next generation.

Our vision
Our vision is to establish NextWave Leaders Foundation as a nationally recognized youth innovation organization that equips students with future-ready skills through AI education, entrepreneurship, creative technology, scholarships, mentorship, and community partnerships.
Through the NextWave AI Workforce Academy, Creative Discovery Camp experiences, the Founder's Scholarship Program, Innovation Labs, and leadership initiatives, we are preparing young people not only for the jobs of tomorrow—but to become the creators, entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders who will shape the future.
